NOTICE:

Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, the Pastor’s have given the following direction for the Sunday meetings.

Last updated: 24th March 2020

New Sunday & Wednesday Meeting Arrangements starting from Wednesday the 24th March 2020.

After the announcement by the Australian Government on Sunday Night (22nd March 2020) further restrictions have been put into place which have now affected each of our Adelaide Fellowships more.

The Adelaide pastors discussed a number of options on the Monday following and have decided to implement the following measures:

Meeting times

  • There will be 2 formal meetings each week
    • Sunday at 1:30pm
    • Wednesday at 7:30pm
  • Both meetings will be streamed via YouTube and will be available from http://adelaiderevival.com/elizabeth-live
  • Due to the latest Government restrictions, our meetings will operate with a maximum of 15 people present. At this stage, the oversight will choose who will be present.
  • As a priority, those chosen to attend will be so we can facilitate the running of the meeting including the person giving the talk, recording video and sound, the running of communion, operation of the spiritual gifts, prayer, etc.

The Communion Service

  • We encourage else household to join in with the taking of communion as we run through this part of the meeting on Sunday. Please make your own provision for this at home.
  • At the meeting, the Communion elements will be prepared and handed out so as to minimise the spread of the virus. Those handing out the elements will be wearing gloves, and hand each element to each person individually. We are planning that the bread and the cup will be in their own separate containers, for health reasons.

The operation of the Spiritual Gifts

1 Corinthians 14 outlines the operation of the spiritual gifts within the church. We will continue to do this from the hall and ask those that are joining the live stream to listen in and be encouraged of the Lord.

The tithe collection

Even though we are not having meetings, the Church has many financial requirements. We are asking that the brethren still pay their tithes and the best way of doing so is to pay electronically.

No personal name is necessary.

General Information

  • If you or anyone in your household is unwell, especially with respiratory symptoms, please make sure your house meeting or area leader are aware so they can pray for you.
  • Obviously, there will be NO creche, Sunday School, Bible class, or coffee shop until further notice.
  • Instead of a prayer line, we will be asking the saints to join in a time of prayer for those in need. We will remain in our seats at this time.
  • The hall will be locked outside of meeting times and will not be available for private gatherings unless organised through the oversight. This is due to the current cleaning requirements of the hall.
  • If any person has any questions, please contact your House Leader who will pass it on to the Area Leaders or Pastors.
  • Any new information will be updated on this webpage, and important updates via your House Meeting or Area Leader. Please make sure they have your latest contact information.

House Meetings

The pastors, area leaders and house meeting leaders are working through a number of ideas to see if we can get the House Meetings back up and running in some sort of capacity.

Any decision will be communicated through normal channels.

While this can be an unsettling time for some, we want to encourage you to spend some time to read your bible, pray in the Holy Spirit, sing some choruses, and listen to some talks.

Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
~ Isaiah 26:3

… for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
~ Nehemiah 8:10

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
~ Matthew 6:33-34

… for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
~ 2 Timothy 1:12

God bless,
